11KBW

Notes

Building the website for Institute of Barristers Clerks (IBC), was a great learning experience into how to fuse a historic industry into an easily digestible web offering. But it was testament to the product we developed that Chambers are now coming to us in order to emulate this digital experience for their own brand.

One chamber was 11KBW, who wanted a website that reflected their clean and sleek brand and created an easily navigated user experience.

With simple being the key word echoed throughout our interviews and workshops we set to work collating 35 years of history; thought leadership from 58 chambers members, articles, blogs, podcasts and videos spanning 16 practice areas into a website that was fluid and considered in design.

Containing vast amounts of information in a clean and minimalist design-led way, lead us to an editorial look where the user can navigate to the way in which they want to consume information such as video or podcast rather than advertising the content itself. This direction also lets 11KBW monitor how users are experiencing the site.

11BKW’s quality of work and strength in brand allowed us the freedom to take this route. Their work – public and employment and privacy – touches on the biggest stories in the press so the editorial feel made perfect sense – while we were working on the site they were engaged in the Brexit case – Gov vs. Gina Miller for instance.

The website launched in May to positive reviews both internally and externally. It was a brave direction for 11 KBW to take moving away from a traditional content led, text heavy approach to instead put the brand front and centre; wearing their future gazing, digital content strategy on their sleeve.
