Jamie White
I’m a founder of Overture and I work with leadership teams on commercial strategy, identity and reputation projects. Over the past decade, I have delivered groundbreaking strategy and performance programmes for some of the world’s leading international law firms and helped brand, launch and develop a range of high-performing niche legal practices. My background is in identity and reputation for corporate and professional services businesses, from consulting practices and international banks to private equity, insurance firms and fund managers. I’ve also worked in-house at board level with a number of leading technology and media lawyers, and I’m fascinated by the future of legal services.

Over the years I’ve worked with a wide range of professional services businesses in an internal and external role – and sometimes both. I particularly enjoy working with barristers chambers, which has included spending time with some of the UK’s top sets.

I’ve worked for law firms for over 12 years, undertaking a wide variety of projects and roles, with a focus on client engagement, communications and business transformation. Previously, I worked in the TMT and insurance sectors. I’m a natural problem solver and process improver, focused on delivering great business development and marketing outcomes.
We help professional services firms with their identities and reputations. As simple as that may sound, it demands a really broad range of people to make it work. From commercial leaders with years of board-level in-house experience to fresh graduates with a desire to strike out in the world of strategic thinking. As you can imagine, there are few typical characteristics but we’re always interested in talking to people with backgrounds in legal services.
Atypical characteristics may include introversion, autonomy, determinism and contemplation, which all have their place in formulating big ideas. After all, not every challenge can be solved with teamwork, role-play, can-do energy, flexibility and an enduring smile, regardless of how many job specifications you may have read. You need balance. Sound like your kind of thing? The next step’s easy – email your CV to work@overture.london and we will be right back.
