When Taylor Wessing needed build a brand-new communications team whilst maintaining a press profile profile, we supported the firm with an in-sourced team solution, creating a small, highly-specialist project group. We leveraged our existing contacts in the national and trade press to generate quick wins, then worked on establishing team structures and communications plans for the firm’s sector and practice groups, identify star partners with the potential to generate coverage. We also worked to identify where we could activate coverage from client updates, deal announcements and sector-specific guides, including the firm’s All Consuming handbook on the retail sector.
Of course, it wasn’t all about sustaining a status-quo. When one of the firm’s lawyers unexpectedly broke the world record for rowing across the Atlantic, as part of a team sponsored by the firm, we made full use of the opportunity to promote the firm and its charitable efforts. Securing front-page national press coverage and prime television and radio slots really boosted the brand.
We were in need of additional support for a six month period and looking for an agency that could become an integrated part of our in-house team. The Overture team stood out from the competition with their inside-out knowledge of the legal sector in the UK and beyond, and consequently they were able to add value from day one. Their legal experience is widespread and deep, enabling them to offer insights that helped inform and improve our approach to various challenges.
